Do You Have Grace For Yours and Others Faults

I hope I can make some sense here this week. This week it was the fourth of July I was spending time with my sister and we were talking about my Blog. and the different types of blogs out there to read. My sister said she hates reading Christian Religious Blogs because they seem so pious, pretentious, and self-righteous, or at the very least not totally authentic.   Makes me kinda think about the Ray Stevens song Mississippi Revival.

…The day the squirrel went berserk
In the First Self-Righteous Church
Of that sleepy little town of Pascagoula
It was a fight for survival
That broke out in revival
They were jumpin pews and shouting Halelujah! …

The Perfect Christian

We have all meet that person the one who is singing praises to God. And saying such Godly things and quoting scripture all the time. The one who if you accidentally swear in front of them you would feel you would have to apologize profusely. The one who might actually call you up to the front of the church and require you to repent for your ungodly behavior. The one you plaster on a smile and say, “things are so wonderful I just can’t thank the Lord enough for all the blessings he bestows on me.” all the while thinking I hope I don’t have to list a few things.

…All the way down to the amen pew
Where sat Sister Bertha better-than-you
Who’d been watchin’ all the commotion with sadistic glee
But you should’ve seen the look in her eyes
When that squirrel jumped her garters and crossed her thighs
She jumped to her feet and said “Lord have mercy on me”
As the squirrel made laps inside her dress
She began to cry and then to confess to sins that would make a sailor blush with shame
She told of gossip and church dissension but the thing that got the most attention
Was when she talked about her love life
And then she started naming names!

Warning for Christians

Mathew 23 Jesus warns against falseness and the expectation of perfection. In all honesty in think God wants us to be real above all.

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

Bible Mathew 23: 2-4 NIV

Remember Mercy

It is so easy to think I’m a better Christians I’m not like … Yet who are we to say that? But For the Grace of God you could be_______ (fill in the Blank) put anything in there. You are not immune to sin because you are a christian. Some time ago I did an article on are you acting like Christ or acting for Christ. I was attempting to say is be real. Be authentic. Be understanding. Be merciful. Giving in Grace. As Romans 3: 23 & 24 says  …for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

My Point

You should feel I am real, and authentic person who happens to be a Christian .  A person who is merciful and giving grace to you. Above all I want you  to know there is not condemnation here. Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,… Like I said my sister was saying how she does not want to read a pious, pretentious, and self-righteous, blogger. I quickly searched my soul I hope, I pray you don’t feel or get the sense that I think I am better than you. Because I know I am not better then you, I just want to share where I have overcome to help you be and over-comer. Where I have found mercy and been made whole so you can be whole. Where I have Fallen and been picked up so you may only falter but not fall.
