The worst days I have are the ones I don’t have a plan. Usually I get little or nothing done or I forget the important events or appointments.
Find out exactly who are the local government officials running for office. Review who has held office and what they have done over their term in office. Acquire a non-partisan information on each candidates. If you get information approved by a candidate the information will be tainted with misinformation. Understand what the job for that office’s. Is the Candidate qualified for the Job. Know what is on the Ballet. Each state has different ballot measures. These measures affect your neighbor hood or your city. For example a big one in my neck of the woods is Marijuana use and legalization. This affected the neighbor hoods and I believe the crime rate. Remember the over all out come is what is important. one nice site to look at for info might be ballotpedia
Make a plan
List the type of candidates and who you want in office. Make notes on the Ballot measures, the ones your going to vote for or against. Going into the voting poles with the notes you have made may make the whole process a lot easier and put your mind at ease. I know I often walk out wondering just how many candidates I really should have not have gotten my vote. I also often wonder just what does the job intail for that office I just voted for with a person I don’t have any clue what is their political stance.
I’m not trying to tell you what you need to do. However over the course of years of mistakes I have learned. “Failing to chose is choosing to fail.” essentially you can choose not to vote but then you did not chose to have a voice in what happens on the 8th of November.
