Religion today

Today I got a news feed talking about the course of religion today. How there is a decline in the amount of people who go to church. Although the article was good I felt it missed the bigger picture altogether.

In Todays Society

In todays society we are expected to accept everyone regardless of race, creed, religion, religious views, and lifestyle. To say a word against it is to pass judgment and thus being judgmental a bigot, racist, ect. If it is stated to be biblically based statement it then the person is all the worse. And yes I have to say that most Christians don’t seem follow the “love the sinner hate the sin” they seem to more focused on the sin and not the sinner.

Are We To Ambivalent

I guess what I’m trying to say is all to often we ether sit back and say nothing or we focus more on the sin. Don’t get me wrong we need to speak up against sin but in love. We need to stand on the principles God set in place. Just as your misbehaving three year old needs to be corrected lovingly. We need to correct those in the church, not the public there is a whole other way to correct their behavior.

MY Thoughts

Several things I want to point out. One: we are sinners. Two: we are all fall short of the glory of God. Even the ones in church. Three: no one is good enough to go to heaven. And remember… but for the grace of God… . You didn’t earn Gods love or approval. And you can’t earn it by being hateful to a sinner or not being a good steward of the things God has given you.
