Light is great. It’s safe. Every tried to walk without light? It can be really dangerous. Even if itis in your own house walking without lite can be treacherous.  Although my kids are supposed to pick up their toys before bed there is the occasional toy that slipped through unnoticed and inevitably I will find it at 4 in the morning as I have to make my way to the bathroom. I don’t want to turn on the lights. The light will wake me up further. Therefore my foot will find the toy and I might even have to suffer the consequences of my choices.   We are called to be alight. Like a candle. A candle is not a spot lite illuminating the faults of others.

Light or toy

We are Called to be a light to the world not a Judge to the world. Mathew 5:14 NLT says “You are the light of the world–like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. Just as a toy underfoot can be rather painful and sometimes damaging. Christians often react badly and not with Godly character. These bad reactions are often a result of not feeding our soul.

Feed the Soul 

Proverbs 4:18 The path of the righteous is like the city on of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until midday. If we fail to painful and word of God we will fail to do the right thing when it matters.  Leading to thoughtless and ungodly reaction to some worldly point of view or behavior. Our reaction is a direct result of what is in our hearts. Mathew 15:18 NLT But the words you speak come from the heart–that’s what defiles you. Therefore as in Proverbs 4:23 Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flow springs of life.

What is next
